3-D Secure

3-D Secure is a security standard for online payments. Through the 3-D Secure system, the cardholder identifies himself in a further step. This makes e-commerce significantly safer for him. And you as a merchant are protected against non-payment.

How does your customer recognize that the online store uses the 3-D Secure standard? The "Visa Secure", "Mastercard Identity Check" or "American Express SafeKey" logos indicate the function. 3-D Secure is a payment method that provides greater security than other payment methods due to the need to enter an additional personal code. The cardholder identifies himself at the card-issuing bank before making the payment.
